Las Inguanas Relaunch - L1

After 10 years of Las Iguanas Liverpool, a few weeks ago they relaunched with a refurb of the restaurant and a bigger and better menu.

Situated on the terrace of Liverpool One, Las Iguanas has become a friendly face of dining for a decade and the relaunch has come just in time to sit and enjoy some heart warming food (and a few cheeky cocktails) after a long day of Christmas shopping.

We were welcomed by neon signs, extended outdoor area and two South American dancers enticing us to eat all the food.

With happy hour all day, every day, how could we resist. We smashed three cocktails each whilst we were there and the amazing staff were more than happy to recommend us not only the tasty ones, but the ones full of booze (when we explained we don't mess around with our drinks).

The cocktail masterclass taught us how to make the Brazilian pauper's drink, the Caipirinha, which is very simple, but very good. We followed these with the Honey Strawberry Fizz and the Passionfruit Zombie.

The fact that the restaurant has a dedicated vegetarian and vegan menu told us straight away that they are more than welcoming to us 'fussy' lot.

The food was great, we struggled to decide, and after a recommendation from the waitress we decided to start with the Mushroom Quesadilla and Halloumi Skewers. Both were delicious and we couldn't wait for our mains of Moqueca de Palmitos and Portabello Mushroom Fajitas. When these came we really struggled to finish them, and it's safe to say you definitely get a good portion.

With Christmas shopping season well and truly started, Las Iguanas is the perfect place to finish a long stressful day on your feet to unwind, eat well and have a few drinks.
