Gluten Free Vegan Falafel

This recipe makes around 20 large falafel


  • 1 can on chickpeas
  • 1 can of mixed beans
  • 1/2 a red onion
  • 50g buckwheat flour
  • 2 tsp harrisa paste
  • 4 cloves roasted garlic
  • good handful of coriander (including the stems)
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil


1. Chuck all the ingredients into a blender. very slowly add water until you see a consistency of very thick hummus.

2. Roughly scoop a tablespoons worth of mixture and form into a ball or disc shape.
(TIP: dampen your hands a little to stop the mixture sticking to your hands)

3. Using only a little olive oil, fry the falafel in a pan until they crisp a little

4. Eat straight away or freeze for later 👌
