The way to anyone’s heart … It's Valentine's Day coming up and there's plenty of places you can treat the love of your life. We've chosen some usual favourites of ours and some places we only go on special occasions, all great for vegetarians and vegans, because sometimes we want more than a mushroom risotto. We've also included some places if you're planning on 'just a drink' and where you can grab flowers and nice small bits for that special person. Afternoon Tea

The Richmond Hotel is found in the heart of the city centre in a beautiful iconic Grade ll listed building.The Richmond is not somewhere we have ever considered going for afternoon tea so we were excited when we were given the opportunity to try out their Festive Afternoon Tea. The beautifully old building was made even more pretty with Christmas garlands and trinkets which immediately got us in the festive spirit and we were greeted with Prosecco and a non-alcoholic strawberry fizz on arrival. When we sat down the staff checked our dietary requirements and went off to confirm our vegetarian requirements with the Chef.There was a large table of women next to us who we could hear raving about how good the cakes were so we already knew we were in for a treat…
